Every day counts!

At all grade levels, regular attendance is needed for a student to have consistent exposure to instruction and not fall behind. it is even more vital for kindergartners and first graders. If they miss more than 10 days in one school year, they are likely to not be reading a grade level by third grade.

How can you help?

  • Tell your child how important school is and then show them by getting them here to school on time every day that they are well. (We still are using the rule of asking that children be 24 hours free from vomiting before returning to school.

  • Model for your children how important school is by setting up doctor's appointments back to back on the same day or at the beginning or end of the day so you maximize their time at school.

  • Bring your child in to school even when they have an appointment morning or afternoon. Even two hours of missed learning is significant when we are moving forward with our learning in math, reading, writing, science and beyond!

  • Arrange your morning in a way that your children are dropped off or on the bus on time every day.
